Twenty-three Amelia Island restaurants open special menus Tuesday, Sept. 1, as Dining Month returns for all of September.

The monthlong event, organized by the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau (AICVB), takes a new approach this year. Restaurants will showcase dishes of their own choosing, Nassau NewsLine reported on Friday, Aug. 28.

That marks a shift from the bureau's January 2025 Restaurant Week, which featured savings on designated signature dishes at 21 restaurants, according to The County Insider. This time, two more restaurants are on the list and each sets its own menu.

The lineup spans the island's dining scene. It includes Coast and Tidewater Grill at The Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, Nonna Mia at Omni Amelia Island Resort, Centre Street spots like Café Karibo and David's Restaurant & Lounge, and neighborhood favorites such as Wicked Bao, Hola! Cuban Cafe and V Pizza Fernandina. The full list is posted on the AICVB's Dining Month page.

Several restaurants are hosting standalone events during the month.

V Pizza Fernandina will hold a Junior Pizzaiolo Class on Monday, Sept. 7. Kids can stretch dough, top their own pies and watch them cook in wood-fired ovens. Tickets cost $20.

Story & Song Bookstore Bistro has two events on the calendar. Pam James, owner of The Lavender Shop, leads a Lavender Tea on Thursday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. Dr. Caren Town discusses the 100th anniversary of "The Sun Also Rises" at a Lunch for Literature Lovers on Thursday, Sept. 24, at noon.

Lodging promotions are tied to the event. Destination Amelia is offering a $100 restaurant gift card for new reservations of three or more nights with stays beginning between Saturday, Aug. 29, and Sept. 20. Guests use the code "DINE&UNWIND" and can redeem the card at Lagniappe, Salt Life Food Shack or Nonna Mia.

Barefoot Amelia Beach Rentals will include a complimentary Tidal Wave Golf Cart for direct stays of four or more nights in September. Guests can call 904-775-7375 and mention Dining Month. Tidal Wave Golf Cart is also running its own deal: book a cart for three or more nights in September and receive a $100 gift card for Scully's Irish Pub & Eatery, David's Restaurant & Lounge or Wicked Bao.

Dining Month runs through Wednesday, Sept. 30. The 4th Annual Amelia Island Cookout at The Ritz-Carlton follows Oct. 15–18.
